Getting involved

All formal meetings of the Joint Committee are open to the press and public, subject to the application of the Access to Information rules. This means that on occasion, the press, public and local government may be excluded from a meeting to allow, for example, commercially sensitive information to be considered by the Committee. However, for the vast majority of its business, the Joint Committee is committed to being as open and transparent as possible. Provision is made on the committees agendas for members of the public to ask questions, make statements or present petitions. You may also film and/ or record formal meetings of the Committee as long as this is done sensitively and in accordance with the requirements set out in the guidance notes for the meeting.

On occasion the committee may undertake public consultation or consultation with business and partners to inform it’s work.  Details will be published on this website as and when appropriate.
